Limewash & Mineral Washes
Movement, softness and light — mineral colour washed on in overlapping passes so walls feel alive rather than flat.

Walls with weather in them
Limewash is one of the oldest wall finishes in the world: crushed limestone, natural pigment and water, brushed on in loose, overlapping strokes. As each pass dries it leaves a cloudy variation that shifts with the daylight — no two walls ever match exactly, and that is the point.
I work with modern mineral paints that behave like traditional limewash but cure harder and wipe clean, so you get the historic look with a finish that stands up to everyday life. Every colour is sampled on your own wall before we commit.
What is included
- In‑room consultation with large brush‑out samples on your wall
- Full surface preparation: filling, sanding and a mineral primer
- Two to three washed coats in zero‑VOC mineral paint
- Careful protection of floors, joinery and fittings throughout
